Tallowah Beaucerons are owned by Jackie Barnes and the late Steve Barnes. We  both owned dogs all our lives. We 1st owned Dobermanns but lost too many at a young age due to health issues so we started to look for a breed that has a long history of good health together with a sound and positive temperament. The Beauceron fit the bill completely and Lola joined us in October 2007. As the Beauceron is a French breed and there were very few bloodlines in the UK we looked to Europe and visited the Belgian Beauceron Club Championship show in 2010 where we absolutely fell in love with the dogs of the du Regard Mordant Kennel of Willy Janssens and Catherine Bowell. They were planning to mate their bitch Houfti and we asked if they would be willing to sell us a puppy. At that time there was one huge problem in that the UK quarantine laws were very draconian and it would take 10 months to complete the requirements of the Pet Passport. Willy and Cathy agreed not only to let us have a puppy but to keep him for the 10 months and Jupiler joined us in 2011. Thankfully the laws were relaxed a little bit when Haureole came to live with us in 2012. Scarlet came to us in 2013 after her original home broke down due to her owners getting divorced.
